Play as teams of two: 1 lady and 1 gent.
Each Pair play 6 hands of 3 balls,
the lady and the gent bowl alternate hands.
The Pair with the highest total wins and goes on to the next round
until there is only one Pair left -
The PAIRS CHAMPIONS
In 2007 the competition started with a group stage, so every pair was guaranteed 2 games, and followed with knock-out stages. The groups generally had 3 pairs. In each game the winning pair scores two points, drawing pairs gain one point each. From each group the pair with the most points went on to the knockout stages. This proved popular and we repeated this format.
