Play as teams of two: 1 lady and 1 gent.
Each Pair play 6 hands of 3 balls,
the lady and the gent bowl alternate hands.

This Year the Pairs were divided arbitrarily into two groups of 7 and pair played each other pair in their group. Everyone had at least 6 games. They were awarded two points for a win and the two pairs from each group with the highest number of points entered the knock-out stages.
